Great food and great people. Best catfish and fried okra we've ever eaten!! The building was so cute.

Worth the drive. I was sold by the time I finished the beans and coleslaw. Whole catfish is good. Lots of variety in the menu Cobbler looked good, but I didn't get the chance to try it. Very unique location. Service was very good also.

Not as good as it was when David Beard was alive but not too bad for catfish. Service is lacking but they are short handed.

Talk about a hidden gem! We happened upon this place by accident. Wonderful atmosphere, great home cooked food. Coleslaw, hush puppies and pinto beans when you arrive to devour while waiting on meal. Good was amazing. Wish I would have gotten a picture of before but it was so good, you'll just have to stop by to try it. We didn't see any signs on Highway to tell us about it so if you're traveling through Waskom, Texas and feeling hungry, stop on by. Just off Hwy 20. Quaint little porch wraps around the outside with a waterfall feature.

Been going to this place since I was a kid, I lived in Shreveport for the first 19 years of my life and every time I come home I request that we go right over the state line to have wonderful food. I love when they have crawfish, I look forward to it! This is the place to get consistently good catfish, even when I went through a phase of not being so into fish I would still eat their Cajun fried catfish! don't be scared to stray from the seafood, I had some delicious grilled chicken here as well! The waitstaff are always very kind and even after I developed a severe egg allergy, they were always nice about checking ingredients! highly recommend! side note: although its not as good as it once was, I still love going through their gift shop for any little knick knacks!
